Part1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn7Jklb0qZwSatellites or debris which are approx 200km to 600km from Earth and has magnitude value below 2.5 can be seen with unaided eyes. Using mobile application find out exact location (Azimuth and Elevation) and timing of a satellite with bright enough magnitude. Go to the roof top and look at that location. You can see a satellite as I have shown in my video.
You can start like as follow:
1) Download Heavens-Above and CompoCam android application
2) Install and open Heaven-Above. Select “Nightly Events” you will get list of satellites. Goto Top right corner and select settings , then click Minimum magnitude and 3mag.
3) Come back to “Nightly Events” and select a satellite from the list with good magnitude ( Low the value better the brightness).
4) Now for that satellite note the time, azimuth and max elevation.
5) Go to roof and using CompoCam find the location on the sky.
6) When the exact time will come you will see the satellite passing.
