Restoration of antique fishing spear with beautiful result. Today I restore this antique fishing spear and turn it into a usable piece of equipment again. I even test the spear by bringing it to the local river after the job is done.
I got this over 100 years old antique fishing spear from an old local fisherman.
It is hand forged and well used. The rust on this old fishing tool was very deep, so it was hard to clean. I did go hard with the machinery. It took many hours of dedicated work to make the 5 spear points in a shape where it can be used for fishing again.
I found a wood stick in the local forest and crafted a handle for the fishing spear, and I wrapped the handle with real copper. Cool to feel the grip on the handle while testing the spear.
