You can use starch for making non-Newtonian fluid. It's such fun to play with it. It's liquid and hard at one and the same time. The more you press it, the harder it becomes. Another cool craft with starch is a small anti-stress ball that you can make using a balloon, water and starch. It can also be used as a support for your hand while typing.
One of the coolest ideas (that is also very helpful around the house and can be a perfect present) is a very special shower jelly. It's cooler than soap and definitely way more interesting than ordinary shower gel. For this craft, you'll need to mix water, shower gel, gelatin, and a bit of food coloring. Use ice cube trays in order to let it get hard. It's so convenient to use due to its small size.
