In order to make it, we used random stuff - doorknobs, furniture wheels, locks, a phone, ropes and strings, and what not! Interaction with all those tiny objects and various types of activity help to improve fine motor skills and other basic skills like grabbing, opening, twisting, turning. A kid can touch, spin, twist, open – this can keep a toddler entertained for hours. There's no need to buy an expensive busy board, you can just make one yourself following our idea or changing it up to you.
Another cool idea is office basketball. You can play it anywhere - it's easy to make it of cardboard and paper cups.
